Privacy Policy

Entropix Limited ("we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our users ("user" or "you"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Entropix (the "App").

Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the App.

Current product mode: The App is designed primarily as an on-device photography coach. Many features run locally on your device. Certain optional features may also use cloud-based artificial intelligence. For those features, you may either (a) supply your own API keys and configuration ("bring your own key" or "BYOK"), or (b) use a built-in model provider that Entropix makes available in the App. Built-in and BYOK providers depend on the feature (see Section 3). We do not currently operate a mandatory Entropix cloud account or cloud photo gallery for the shipping App experience described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information about you in a limited set of ways. Depending on how you use the App, this may include:

A. Information You Provide

  • Account information (if offered): You may use the App without creating an Entropix cloud account. If the App offers account registration or Sign in with Apple and you choose to use it, we collect only the information you submit for authentication.
  • API keys you enter (BYOK): If you choose BYOK in Settings, keys and related config (such as a Gemini configuration for Idea Inspiration / Inspire Me, or an OpenAI-compatible base URL and key for Scene Explore or Live Guidance) are stored on your device (for example, in the iOS Keychain). We do not need those keys to operate local features or built-in model provider features.
  • Support contact: If you email us or reach out via channels we publish in the App (for example Discord), we receive whatever you choose to include in that message. We do not automatically attach device diagnostics to support emails unless you include them.

B. Device & App Data on Your Device

  • Local app identifier: The App may store an on-device app/device identifier (such as an identifierForVendor-based or app-generated UUID in Keychain) for local configuration and integrity of app state. We do not collect MAC address, IMEI, or advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID) in the current shipping build.
  • Local content & history: Photos, saved ideas, scene history, and similar content created in the App are stored on your device (for example in the App sandbox / local database). They are not uploaded to an Entropix cloud gallery in the current mode.
  • No location collection: The App does not request or collect precise location (GPS / Core Location) in the current shipping build.
  • No advertising or third-party analytics collection: The App does not display third-party advertisements and does not use third-party advertising or analytics/crash SDKs to collect personal information for those purposes. If we introduce advertising or such SDKs later, we will update this Privacy Policy first and request any required permissions (such as App Tracking Transparency) before collecting advertising identifiers.

C. Images & Camera Content

  • Camera: Used to capture photos and frames for composition coaching and related features.
  • Photo Library: Used to save images you choose to keep, and—when you opt in—to select existing photos as references for coaching or related features.
  • On-device processing: Certain composition and guidance features run on-device using local machine-learning models and do not require sending your image to Entropix servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the App: Operate camera, on-device coaching, local gallery/history, and settings (including model-provider configuration).
  • Optional cloud AI features: When you explicitly use a cloud AI feature, send the necessary image or prompt data to the applicable model provider for that feature—either the built-in provider or your BYOK configuration (see Section 3)—so that provider can return suggestions or coaching results.
  • Support: Respond to inquiries you send us.
  • Legal compliance: Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your email address with third parties for their independent marketing.

3. Third-Party AI Services & Features

Some optional features may send images or prompts to cloud AI providers. For each feature you may use either a built-in model provider made available by Entropix or BYOK with your own credentials, as supported in the App:

  • Idea Inspiration / Inspire Me: When you use this feature (including tapping "Inspire Me"), a captured image may be sent to Google Gemini. The built-in provider is Google Gemini. If you use BYOK, you may supply your own Gemini configuration (API key and related settings). This feature is Gemini-compatible only and does not use OpenAI-compatible endpoints.
  • Scene Explore: When you use Scene Explore, images may be sent to Alibaba Cloud DashScope / Qwen as the built-in provider. If you use BYOK, you may supply any OpenAI-compatible base URL and API key that you configure in the App.
  • Live Guidance / AR Guidance / Agent coaching: When you use live or agentic guidance features, camera frames and/or reference images may be sent to Alibaba Cloud DashScope / Qwen as the built-in provider. If you use BYOK, you may supply any OpenAI-compatible base URL and API key that you configure in the App.
  • Built-in path: Necessary image or prompt data is transmitted to the named provider above and may pass through Entropix infrastructure as needed to deliver the feature. Entropix does not use that content to operate a personal cloud photo gallery.
  • Your control: These transfers happen only when you use the relevant feature. Your use of Google Gemini is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Gemini API Additional Terms. Your use of Alibaba Cloud DashScope / Qwen is also subject to Alibaba Cloud's Privacy Policy and Model Studio privacy notice. Any BYOK endpoint you configure is governed by that operator's terms and privacy policy. Entropix does not operate those third-party foundation models.
  • On-device models: Separate from cloud AI calls, the App may run local models on your device for composition and guidance without uploading images to Entropix or a cloud model provider.
  • Provider changes: If built-in providers change, we will update this Privacy Policy and/or provide notice in the App.

4. App Permissions

  • Camera: Capture photos and frames for coaching and generation features.
  • Photo Library: Save photos you choose to keep, and select existing photos as references when you use those features.

The App does not require Location permission and does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt for advertising, because advertising is not offered.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

  • Cloud AI providers: When you use optional cloud AI features, image/prompt data is sent to the applicable model provider for that feature: Google Gemini for Idea Inspiration / Inspire Me (built-in or your Gemini BYOK config); Alibaba Cloud DashScope / Qwen for Scene Explore and Live Guidance when using the built-in provider; or the OpenAI-compatible endpoint you configure when using BYOK for Scene Explore or Live Guidance. Built-in traffic may also pass through related Entropix infrastructure used to deliver the feature.
  • Service providers: If we use vendors for hosting this website, email, or similar infrastructure, they process data only as needed to provide those services to Entropix.
  • Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

Local photos, history, settings, and any API keys you store remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App. Information you send in support emails is retained only as long as needed to handle your request and meet legal requirements. Data sent to cloud AI providers (BYOK or built-in) is retained according to those providers' policies. For the built-in path, Entropix does not retain your photos or prompt content as a personal cloud gallery; we may keep limited operational metadata only as needed to operate and secure the service (for example timestamps, request or error identifiers, and feature identifiers—not the image pixels themselves), and we delete or anonymize that metadata when it is no longer needed for those purposes.

7. Security of Your Information

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the App (for example, storing API keys in platform-secure storage where available). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any API keys you supply.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Local deletion: You can delete local App content and remove any API keys you stored in Settings, or uninstall the App to remove local App data.
  • Cloud AI control: You can stop cloud AI processing by not using those features, switching or disabling the relevant model provider settings in the App, and—if you use BYOK—removing your API keys.
  • Access and deletion requests: For personal data we hold (for example support emails), contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it as quickly as practicable.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
